On January 23, representatives from the Concordia University Union of Support Staff - Technical Sector (CUUSS-TS) and the university met to sign their new agreement, effective from June 1, 2023 to May 31, 2026.

With this new agreement, contractual employees and casual technicians are joining the union.

“CUUSS-TS members are looking forward to properly integrating employees working under contracts and casual technicians,” says Jaime Yeargans, president of CUUSS-TS.

The membership is expanding from 110 to nearly 270 members, representing employees from both the Sir George Williams and Loyola campuses.

“We believe the outcome of this new agreement is a comprehensive integration plan that will be beneficial to all,” says Pierre Claude Bourke, manager of labour relations for Concordia Human Resources

The collective agreement is now posted in English and French on the Concordia website.
