Over the past 15 years, he has developed innovative programs for reducing waste in institutional settings. He can provide tips on how to reuse wrapping paper or seek out alternative materials and creative gift-giving that produces little to no waste.

The holiday break can be a perfect opportunity to reduce screen time and encourage children to tuck into books. Sandra Martin Chang, professor in the Department of Education, believes the holidays provide the opportunity for stimulating children’s imagination through spending time on enriching shared activities and games. She also believes books and story time hold a special place in gift giving and family gatherings.
