Concordia alumnae recognized among Top 50 Women Leaders in Montreal

From engineering to advertising and beyond, the recognition celebrates leaders for their outstanding contributions to their fields

Each year, Women We Admire recognizes the exceptional achievements and contributions of women across industries and sectors. Among its list of Top 50 Women Leaders in Montreal for 2024 are a number of Concordia alumnae making an impact:

Hellen Christodoulou

BEng 80, MEng 81 (civil and environmental engineering)
Executive vice-president of Engineering, Sustainability and Business Development, Corbec

With more than 40 years of experience in the conceptualization, design and rehabilitation of bridges and major bridge structures across Canada and the United States, Hellen Christodoulou has worked on a wide range of projects, including Montreal’s Turcot Interchange and the Samuel De Champlain Bridge. In recognition of her service to the country, Christodoulou was conferred the Senate Sesquicentennial Medal in 2017 on behalf of the Senate of Canada. She is also a lecturer at Concordia’s Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science.

Carolena Gordon

BA 87 (political science)
Global senior partner, Clyde & Co

A litigator with more than 30 years’ experience, Carolena Gordon was the first female elected Global Senior Partner at Clyde & Co global law firm in 2021. Her practice spans dispute resolution and risk management for a range of insurance and commercial clients. She is ranked as one of Canada’s leading insurance, infrastructure and litigation lawyers in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and was named one of Women We Admire’s Top 50 Women Leaders in Montreal in 2023.

Christine Regimbal

Partner, Assurance and Accounting, Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton

A chartered professional accountant (CPA) with Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, Christine Regimbal has more than 34 years of audit experience with the firm. She is the former captain of the Concordia Stingers women’s 1994 rugby team, which was inducted to the university’s Sports Hall of Fame in 2023. Regimbal provides audit services to the education, health, social services and municipal sectors.

Leslie Quinton

BA 94 (religion)
Vice-president of Communications, Ubisoft

With extensive expertise in culture and leadership, Leslie Quinton has held senior roles in global strategic communications, stakeholder relations, corporate social responsibility and internal communications. She also taught communications and public relations at McGill University, as well as in the master’s program at the Université de Sherbrooke. Quinton was awarded the Inspira prize by the Quebec Public Relations Association for excellence in communications teaching in 2008.

Andrea Roy

Vice-president of Product, Werkliv

A graduate of Concordia and the Ontario College of Art & Design University, Andrea Roy has since earned international and national acclaim for her avante-garde sense of design. As vice-president of Product at Werkliv, she helps align the company’s vision through product development, procurement, branding and interior design.

Kate Shingler

Director of Marketing and Communications, Brain Canada

Kate Shingler, a journalist and former television producer and associate news director, joined Brain Canada in 2020 to lead its marketing and communications team. Shingler had previously served as associate director of Communications at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) Foundation, where she led the team’s digital strategy, and worked to enhance the MUHC Foundation’s profile in Montreal and across Canada.

Celine Reze Cohen

Marketing consultant, CRC Marketing

Celine Reze Cohen is a marketing and brand consultant for startups around the world, and has lived and worked in Montreal, Nice, New York City and London, England. Cohen is a lead consultant for Startup En Residence, Caisse Desjardins’s startup accelerator. She also serves as a digital marketing mentor through Concordia Continuing Education.

Patricia Lemoine-Smith

BFA 03 (film studies)

Patricia Lemoine most recently served as senior vice-president at Teneo, a global CEO advisory firm. Prior to joining the company, Lemoine gained experience on the client side of corporate communications, public affairs, media relations, management and citizen communications for more than 13 years. Lemoine is passionate about driving industries towards ecological transition and helping to develop climate-resilient communities. She also an advocate for mental health — among her involvement, she has served as a spokesperson for the Friends of Bell Let’s Talk campaign from 2015 to 2021.

Bhoomi Pathak

Chief operating officer and integrator, Mirasee

Bhoomi Pathak joined Mirasee — which helps entrepreneurs grow their services through online courses and business coaching — following a career as a management consultant working with Fortune 500 companies. Her trajectory also includes roles at Deloitte Consulting, Accenture and Bombardier Aerospace, where she worked as a manager, consultant and financial analyst, respectively.

Dimitra Georgakis

Managing director, Dentsu Québec; chief client officer, Dentsu Creative Canada

Dimitra Georgakis is an award-winning marketing executive who leads a team of creative professionals to build successful brands. As the managing director of Dentsu Québec, Georgakis helps develop the agency’s presence across the province. At the 2023 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, Georgakis and Dentsu Canada took home three Lions for the Inflation Cookbook, created in collaboration with SkipTheDishes.

Marianne Perron

Senior director, Artistic Sector, Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal

Marianne Perron has dedicated her career to making music and the arts accessible to as many people as possible. After various positions in the artistic department of the Orchestre national de Lyon in France, Perron returned to Quebec to join the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal (OSM). In addition to managing the OSM’s six artistic sector departments, she is responsible for leading the conception and production of the orchestra’s 2020-21 and 2021-22 musical seasons.

Laura Duckett

Director, Energy Business Unit, GCM Consultants

Laura Duckett first joined GCM Consultants as a junior civil engineer but her skillset quickly led her to project management. In 2015, Duckett stepped away from the company to focus on refining and expanding her skills, specifically project management in the jet fuel industry. She returned to GCM in 2018 as sector manager in the Midstream Market and now serves as director of its Energy Business Unit.

Catherine Doyle

Senior director, Philanthropy and Partnerships, Orchestre Métropolitain

With a steadfast commitment to advancing Canada’s philanthropic landscape, Catherine Doyle was named senior director of Philanthropy and Partnerships of the Orchestre Métropolitain in 2023. She has previously held various roles at the Fondation du Musée des beaux-arts de Montréal, as well as the Schulich School of Music at McGill University.
