Call for volunteers
Concordia University is proud to host the 82nd Congress of Acfas, which will be held on our downtown campus from May 12 to 16, 2014. Almost 200 volunteers will be needed to make this event a success.
Volunteers needed to:
- Install and dismantle signage and posters
- Provide information at welcome booth and registration area
- Direct delegates on campus
- Green team: Promotion of sustainable actions (composting recycling, etc)
- Assistance for colloquia coordination
- On site assistance for activity open to the public
- Work in the media room
- Responsible for the volunteer room
- Act as standby volunteers for contingencies.
Benefits for volunteers:
- Free access to paid events for those who volunteer for the equivalence of one full day of their time (6-7 hours)
- Delegates’ guide, t-shirt and snack/lunch (depending on work schedule)
- Work experience in your Concordia’s Co-curricular Record
- A unique educational experience
- Networking opportunities with the an international scientific community
We are seeking:
Volunteers who are able to communicate easily in French (please note that there will be some positions where French will not be required)
- People with a good knowledge the SGW campus and downtown Montreal
- Anyone available between May 9 and 16, 2014 ( availability may range from a few hours to full days)
- Dynamic and welcoming individuals who will reflect all Concordia has to offer!
