Volunteers
Concordia University is proud to host the ninth edition of Encuentro, which will be held on our downtown campus from June 21 to 28, 2014. Almost 100 volunteers will be needed to make this event a success.
Volunteers needed to:
- Assist guest artists
- Help participants to find their way around campus and the city
- Act as ushers for performances on- and off-campus
- Coordinate STM Shuttle services
- Provide general information
- Manage the volunteer headquarters

Several volunteer position are more suitable for those that have experience in stage management, event coordination, technical production (lights and sound) to:
- Provide technical assistance for performance arts in the urban environment
- Provide assistance for the installation and maintenance of visual and multimedia exhibitions
- Provide support for outdoor and mobile performances
- Assist with small and large scale performances (including technical work)
- Assist with documentation and recording of the events (audio-visual)
Volunteers applying to these positions may be asked to provide a resume demonstrating their experience.

We are seeking volunteers who are:
- Bilingual or multilingual (English, French, Spanish and Portuguese)
- Ability to work as a team player and under pressure;
- Enthusiastic, resourceful, leadership skills, energetic and willing to go above and beyond to help get the job done
- Familiar with Montreal (Outremont, Old Port, Downtown) and Concordia’s Sir George Williams Campus
- Available from June 20 to 28, 2014 (shifts will vary in duration)
- Interest and involvement in visual and performing arts is a bonus!
