Lab safety

The Department of Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering takes every reasonable precaution to protect the health and safety of faculty, researchers, staff, and students. However, users of university facilities should first be aware of their responsibilities and rights in the workplace, as well as of the safety procedures and guidelines.  

For this purpose, the Health and Safety Committee has introduced the following measures:

• Continuing effort to identify and address Environmental, Health and Safety issues specific to Building, Civil, and Environmental Engineering
• Implementation of safety procedures and policies unique to the needs of BCEE
• Stricter enforcement of the basic laboratory safety practices.
