Position description:

The Department of Finance in the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, invites applications for two 12-month Limited Term Appointment (LTA) positions in the following areas:

  1. General Finance (advanced courses) (25-LTA-FINA-M)
  2. Artifical Intelligence (25-LTA-FINA-M2)

Limited-term Faculty members at Concordia are full-time faculty members whose primary duties include teaching and service, with no research obligations.

Qualifications and assets 

Candidates for the position in General Finance (advanced courses) (25-LTA-FINA-M) should possess relevant teaching experience and a completed or nearly completed PhD in Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline. Evidence of teaching effectiveness in the management of financial institutions is the key attribute by which qualified candidates are ranked.

Candidates for the position in Artificial Intelligence (25-LTA-FINA-M2) should possess relevant teaching experience and a completed or nearly completed PhD in Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline. Evidence of teaching effectiveness in artificial intelligence is the key attribute by which qualified candidates are ranked.

Candidates are encouraged to share any career interruptions or personal circumstances that may have had an impact on their career goals in their letter of application. Concordia University is an English-language institution of higher learning at which the primary language of instruction and research is English. Since this position supports academic functions of the university, proficiency in English is required. Working knowledge of French, including reading and grading student work in French, is an asset.
