The John Molson School of Business was the first in Montreal to receive accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), thus ranking it among other leading business schools such as Harvard, Wharton, and Northwestern. John Molson was the fourth business school in Canada to receive this prestigious seal of excellence.

The John Molson School of Business is a full member of the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), an international, not-for-profit, membership organisation of business schools and corporations. It provides a unique forum for information, research, networking and debate on innovation and best practice in management development, and is recognised globally as an accreditation body for quality and impact assessment in management with established accreditation services for business schools and business school programmes, corporate universities and online courses.

Certified by Women in Governance
In 2019, the John Molson School of Business was the first business school in Canada to receive gender parity certification by Women in Governance (La Gouvernance au féminin). Its certification was renewed in 2023 at the Silver level. The certification not only evaluates parity in decision-making bodies, but also assesses John Molson's commitment to policies and procedures that will enable the advancement of women at all levels of its hierarchy, thus creating a pipeline of female talent.

The John Molson School is a signatory member of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), an initiative of the UN Global Impact. The principles are used as a platform to raise the profile of sustainability in schools around the world. They equip today's business students with the understanding and ability to deliver change, while drawing attention to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and aligning academic institutions with the work of the UN Global Compact.
PRME Champion
The John Molson School of Business is a PRME Champion for 2024-2025. As a flagship PRME programme, the PRME Champions Programme provides faculty members with a space for developing and sharing collaborative educational methods and a ‘living lab’ for ambitious new ideas for developing the next generation of sustainability-driven business schools and management-related higher education institutions in support of the SDGs.
