The John Molson MBA moves up in The Economist rankings of the top 100 programs of its kind worldwide
The Economist has released its 2019 Which MBA? survey results and the John Molson MBA, offered by Concordia’s John Molson School of Business, ranked 91st in the world, up three from 94th last year.
Three other Canadian institutions made the list: York University's Schulich School of Business (48th), Western University’s Ivey Business School (63rd), and Queen's University's Smith School of Business (80th). Concordia’s MBA Program was the only Quebec offering to feature in the rankings.
The annual survey evaluates full-time programs by asking students why they decided to pursue an MBA. The figures that The Economist collates are a mixture of hard data and subjective marks given by students. The ranking is weighted by what respondents find to be most important.
Concordia’s MBA Program is featuring in more and more international rankings, offering the best return on investment among Canadian business schools, according to the recently released QS Global MBA Rankings 2020. The program uses case-based learning to offer students a big-picture business education.
“This international recognition is a testament to everyone involved with the John Molson MBA,” says Anne-Marie Croteau, JMSB dean. “For more than 50 years, we have been providing students with hands-on business education that leads to them securing great jobs or promotions soon after graduation.”
The Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago was once again ranked first overall by The Economist’s survey.
