Mylène Drouin

Dr. Mylène Drouin is a physician specializing in public health and preventative medicine. Appointed Regional Director of Public Health in 2018, she has held various positions within this department over the past 10 years: Chief Medical Officer for the office on Development of Healthy and Safe Individuals and Environments, Assistant Medical Director for Programs and Partnerships, and Head of the office for Prevention Services for Clinical Settings.
Over the past few years, Dr. Drouin has honed her skills in emergency preparedness and management by coordinating the deployment of operations for several major public health emergencies including the floods in the spring of 2017, the heat wave in the summer of 2018, and more recently, the COVID-19 (SARS-CoV2) pandemic.
This expertise acquired through her roles has allowed her to consolidate the foundation of her values of equity, mobilization, partnership and innovation. She is recognized as a team player and an entrepreneur who can concretely make sustainable changes by involving stakeholders throughout the process. In addition to these functions, she has been at the heart of the implementation of intersectoral efforts such as Montréal, métropole en santé and Montréal sans Sida.
