Mamoun Medraj, CMCP Director
Dr. Mamoun Medraj coordinates the CMCP and is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the equipment.
He is a professor of mechanical and industrial engineering at the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science and received his PhD in Materials Engineering from McGill University in 2001.
He is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario, a Fellow of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering and has published more than 120 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
His research projects include:
- Laser Additive Manufacturing of Metals
- Water Droplet Erosion for Power Generation and Aerospace Applications
- Electrospinning of Ceramic Fibers
- Hydrogen Embrittlement in Landing Gears
- Solid-State Hydrogen Storage
