Gifts-in-kind

Altus Group, owner of ARGUS real-estate asset and portfolio management software, contributed software licenses worth $1.04 million for two courses offered by the Jonathan Wener Centre for Real Estate.

Architect, painter and photographer Charles C. Gurd donated 127 photographs to the Faculty of Fine Arts. Estimated to be worth $279,627, the gift- in-kind will be used as a research and pedagogical tool by the Visual Collections Repository.

Croesus Finansoft Inc. donated portfolio management software worth $293,760 for undergraduate and graduate finance students at the John Molson School of Business.

A $225,000 machine donated by Posalux SA — a Swiss manufacturer of customized machine solutions for micro-technologies — will benefit research led by Rolf Wuthrich at the Department of Mechanical, Industrial and Aerospace Engineering.

François R. Roy donated “Le cygne sur le lac fait le scorpion à sa manière, 1985,” an oil on canvas by Leopold Plotek, painter and Department of Studio Arts professor. Valued at $55,000, the artwork will be displayed at the Visual Arts Building (VA-250).

The Dr. Louis G. Johnson Foundation provided a point-of-care ultrasound machine, worth approximately $50,000, to the Faculty of Arts and Science.
