Minimum admission requirements for Canadian curricula students
Admissions requirements vary by provincial curriculum and your academic background. Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate SL or HL courses are acceptable in lieu of grade 12 academic courses. French immersion equivalents of approved courses are also acceptable. The list of approved courses below are not exhaustive. If you have a question regarding the acceptability of an academic course for admission consideration, please contact us.

Minimum Course Requirements
You must have a high school diploma with a minimum of five academic Grade 12 courses, numbered 30 or 31, one of which must be English Language Arts 30-1. Also acceptable: Math 30-2 and one 35-level course provided it is a five-credit course.

CEGEP students: A two-year pre-university program or a three-year professional DEC is required for admission. The CRC requirement for admission varies depending on the program. Applicants missing some of the prerequisite courses may still be eligible for admission. However, we recommend applicants complete as many of the prerequisite courses as possible within their CEGEP program. Some CEGEP courses may entitle you to be exempt from taking courses for your program at Concordia. Consult the list of exemptions.
High school students: If you are studying non-Quebec curriculum (such as Ontario, IB, or Baccalauréat français) consult the relevant section on this page for your curriculum. Students completing a Quebec Secondary V Diploma must also complete a DEC or apply through the Mature Entry Program.
Minimum Course Requirements
You must have a high school diploma with a minimum of five Grade 12 30-level academic courses (see approved list of courses), two of which must be English Language Arts 30A and English Language Arts 30B*.
Applicants completing the Programme Fransaskois are required to successfully complete Français fransaskois A 30 and B 30 as well as 1 of English Language Arts A 30 or B 30.
Applicants completing the French Immersion program are required to successfully complete Français immersion 30 in combination with either one of the English Language Arts 30 courses (A or B).

Applicants are admitted to the 120-credit Extended Credit Program (ECP). Transfer credits are awarded for HL courses with a score of 4 or higher. Students are eligible to receive 9 transfer credits for up to 3 courses, for a maximum of 27 transfer credits. Transfer credits and course exemptions will be listed in your offer of admission.

Applicants are admitted to the 120-credit Extended Credit Program (ECP). Transfer credits are awarded for Spécialité courses with a score of 12 or higher. Students are eligible to receive 12 transfer credits for up to 2 Spécialité courses completed in Terminale for a maximum of 24 transfer credits. Transfer credits and course exemptions will be listed in your offer of admission.
The baccalauréat professionnel is not accepted.
Students completing the baccalauréat français in Quebec, must submit the results from the compléments d’enseignement québécois.

We treat each home-school case on its own merits. In some cases, an interview with a university official may be required. To apply, submit all supporting application documents (e.g. SAT and AP test scores) and transcripts from any academic institution attended. You must also include :
- A description of the home-schooling curriculum followed and measures of academic acquisition in the program
- A letter of intent explaining your academic background and why you are a good candidate for the program
- A letter from the home-educator detailing how the home-school program has prepared the applicant for university studies
- A letter of recommendation from an impartial source indicating the applicant’s readiness for university-level study
