Alumnus (the male singular of alumni) means "foster son, pupil," taken from the Latin alere, which means "to nourish." The definition is: "one who has attended or has graduated from a particular school, college or university."
- A male graduate is an alumnus; several male graduates are alumni.
- A female graduate is an alumna; several female graduates are alumnae.
- The term alumni, however, is the generally accepted plural.
Library services, borrowing accounts and computer access are available for alumni with an Alumni ID Card.
No, computer labs are not open to alumni.

How do I... ?
Upon graduation, all degree, diploma and certificate holders of Concordia University and its founding institutions, Loyola College and Sir George Williams University, become members of the alumni association for life.
Individuals who complete a minimum of 30 credits in a degree program at Concordia and are no longer full time students, are entitled to "attendee" status and can receive alumni benefits by requesting their Alumni ID Card.
