Prior to starting my graduate studies at Concordia University, I received an MSc from the University of Toronto in Rehabilitation Science. For my thesis, I evaluated the sensitivity and specificity of a concussion screening tool, the Sport Concussion Assessment Tool 3 (SCAT3), in university athletes. Currently, I am a PhD student in the clinical psychology program. My Master’s equivalent research examined the effect of three different types of interventions (i.e., aerobic exercise, gross motor coordination training, or executive function training) on dual-task walking outcomes in health older adults. For my PhD dissertation, I am investigating the effect of a home-based computerized cognitive training protocol on behavioural (i.e., dual-task walking) and neural outcomes (using functional near infrared spectroscopy) in middle aged and older adults with and without hearing loss.
