Allergens, intolerances & lifestyle choices

At Concordia Food Services, we strive to accommodate diners with allergies, intolerances and special dietary needs.

Whether you follow a vegan, vegetarian, or Halal diet, we are committed to providing diverse and nutritious options every day.

Food allergies & intolerances

Our registered dietitians play a key role in ensuring that healthy, well-identified food options are available across campus. They work with our chefs to develop menus that evolve each semester based on student needs. You’ll also see them hosting nutrition education events. Feel free to ask questions!

Managing allergies on campus

  • Ingredient transparency: We rely on food manufacturers for accurate ingredient lists and use a sophisticated food production management system to help identify allergens.
  • Cross-contamination disclaimer: While we take precautions, our all-you-care-to-eat dining halls present a risk of cross-contamination. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
  • Communication is key: If you have allergies or intolerances, ask our chefs, managers, or on-site dietitian about menu options.

Tell us about your needs

It is important to connect with our on-staff dietitian. They will work with you to communicate your needs to our in-residence staff and explore suitable options.

At our dining halls, we try to accommodate a wide range of dietary needs and preferences. While we may not always be able to meet every specific requirement, we are committed to working with you and doing our best.

Vegetarian, vegan & Halal options

We take pride in offering diverse meal options for all dietary needs. Look for menu identifiers to easily spot items that are vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, or Halal.
