Standing Committee on Sexual Misconduct and Sexual Violence
The committee implements and monitors the university’s obligations under the Quebec government's Bill 151 and the university’s progress on the 2018 task force recommendations.
Sexual violence prevention & response training
The Québec government's Bill 151 requires all universities and CEGEPS to provide mandatory training.
Making a complaint
If you have experienced – or witnessed – sexual misconduct/violence and would like to make a complaint, the first step is to consult with Concordia’s Sexual Assault Resource Centre.
The university has:
- a stand alone Policy on Sexual Violence (PRVPA-3)
- a Policy on Harassment, Sexual Harassment and Psychological Harassment (HR-38)
- a Code of Rights and Responsibilities (BD-3)
- conflict of interest guidelines regarding consensual or romantic relationships between instructors and students. (BD-4)
Anyone with questions about these policies can turn to the Office of Rights and Responsibilities or SARC. No one needs to interpret policies on their own. There are resources available to help.
