1. How are you applying your degree in music therapy from Concordia?
The advanced clinical practicums enabled me to expand upon the competencies I formed in my pre-professional training. The program also immersed me in the world of academic research. I am now a more competent and confident academic researcher and writer.
2. What do you value most from your Concordia music therapy experience?
The opportunity I was afforded to grow as a person. The program helped to examine my own personality, relationships, values and goals. This was an unexpected, exhilarating and, at times, scary part of the program.
3. What advice would you give to someone considering advanced music therapy training?
I feel so fortunate to be able to share in other people’s lives – the happy moments, the sad moments, the confusing moments, the funny moments – through music each and every day. Getting advanced education in music therapy allows you to embark on a lifelong journey of self-understanding in music and relationships.
