Célia Beauchesne

Program
Célia Beauchesne’s uses the intricate relationship between craft and problem-solving as a metaphor to unravel the complexities of fragmented validation—a necessary yet elusive element for inclusion. Along various mediums including drawing, needlework, printmaking and ceramics, her work blurs the boundaries of materiality, challenging expectations through function and subversion serving both decorative and autonomous purposes. Using materials as a means of communication, freeing constraints, and working with the process of production, she is setting her own boundaries and through its determined limits. Through craft, her practice progresses as a reflection of the D.I.Y movement resulting as a sharing aptness of care itself. Each piece becomes a testament to the construction of trial and error, navigating the delicate equilibrium of a handmade representation of an inclusive approach to creation.
