The Center for Interdisciplinary Research on Time, Technology, and Capitalism (CIRTTC) and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Society and Culture (CISSC) working group "Algorithmic Technology and Society" are inviting you to a participatory research workshop with Dr. Mathieu Lajante (Department of Marketing, Toronto Metropolitan University).

In this workshop, Dr. Lajante will present the aim and paradigm of the EMOLab. The EMOLab relies on the constructed theory of emotion and social, cognitive, and affective neuroscience concepts and methods to investigate how marketing in the era of algorithmic capitalism disrupts consumers’ attitudes and behaviors. The workshop will present the recent EMOLab research outputs to show how digital technologies shape new forms of interactions and emotional dynamics at organizational frontlines. Finally, the workshop will provide an opportunity to present all the EMOLab’s activities to spark interest and potential research collaborations.

Please note that this will be a hybrid workshop, as Dr. Lajante will be participating remotely. If you can, join us in the Schulman Room of the Liberal Arts College (RR Annex). If you would like to join the workshop remotely, we have created a zoom link: https://concordia-ca.zoom.us/j/89375528633 , meeting ID: 893 7552 8633
