This workshop invites participants to learn about local Kanien’kehá:ka-led environmental and education initiatives that support community awareness and responsibility to restore and preserve the environment for future generations.

Led by the Environmental Projects Coordinator of the Kahnawà:ke Environmental Protection Office (KEPO), Julie Teio’keráthe Delisle, this online workshop will focus on detailing KEPO’s climate change mitigation projects, current and future education initiatives, and will discuss the role of the community in climate change mitigation and the importance of Indigenous people continuing this work.
