October 31, 2024, the Plurilingual Lab at McGill University, under the leadership of Angelica Galante, will host a special panel discussion, Critical Teacher Education for Equitable Learning in Multilingual Classrooms: A Possible Way Forward. The panel will feature the co-editors and contributing authors of a special issue of the International Multilingual Research Journal.
Panelists will address the need for reform in teacher education to better prepare future educators for diverse student populations, particularly in multilingual classrooms. They will review recent developments in the field and focus on critical teacher education for equitable learning.
