Tuition fees due September 30, 2014
September 30 is the deadline to pay tuition fees, which are indicated in your student account on the MyConcordia portal. The university does not mail or issue printed invoices for currently registered students.
A variety of payment methods are available, including Interac through your MyConcordia portal.
Methods to pay tuition fees
Payments can be made through the following options:
- Online Interac payments, available 24/7. The payment will appear immediately on your account.
- Online banking through one of Canada’s chartered banks. Set up Concordia University as a payee and use your student ID number as the account number.
- Online through MasterCard, available through a credit card service arrangement with Moneris Solutions. Moneris will charge a 1.95 per cent nonrefundable convenience fee for using this service.
- Automatic teller machines (ATM) in Canada, telephone banking and in-person payments at the bank. Set up Concordia University as a payee and use your student ID number as the account number.
- A personal or certified cheque, money order or bank draft, which can be mailed or made in person at the Birks Student Service Centre (address below). Your student ID number must be written on the front of the cheque, money order or bank draft.
- International wire transfer payment, offered through Western Union, which allows U.S. and international students to pay their tuition fees in the currency of their choice.
- In-person payments can made at the Birks Student Service Centre in Room LB-185 (J.W. McConnell Library Building, 1400 De Maisonneuve Blvd. W.) by personal or certified cheque, money order, bank draft or debit card (Interac).
While Concordia is now offering credit card payments, it is recommended that students first consider other methods of payment that do not incur convenience fees.
Reminder: If you have a new 8-digit student ID number, remember to drop the “2” at the beginning of the sequence when entering your number for online banking or in-person at a bank.
The university does not accept cash payments.
Avoid the late fee
Please be aware that if you are paying fees through online web banking, telephone banking or an ATM, the processing time varies for each bank and could take three to five business days for the payment to appear on your account.
Payments received after 7 p.m. on September 30 will result in a $75 late payment fee. Monthly interest fees will also be charged to the account.
If another person (for example, a parent or spouse) is paying your tuition fees, please ensure they are aware of the September 30 deadline and payment methods.
