On January 23, representatives from Concordia and the Syndicat des travailleuses et des travailleurs des métiers de Concordia - Loyola (CSN) (STTMC - Loyola) met to officially sign their new collective agreement.

Both parties expressed satisfaction with the negotiation and its outcomes.

“We are pleased that we are starting to be more aligned with our downtown campus,” says Dave Gabbay, president of the STTMC - Loyola.

“Our members are particularly happy with the new possibility of progressive retirement.”

Andrée-Anne Bouchard, manager of employee and labour relations for Human Resources, emphasizes the importance of collaboration in achieving mutual goals.

“This agreement is a result of the constructive dialogue and mutual respect between the university and the union, as well as a reflection of the harmonious relationship that was built and maintained over the years,” she says.

The new collective agreement is effective from January 23, 2025 to May 31, 2026, and is posted in both English and French on the Concordia website.
