Meet Tarek Riman, a digital marketing expert who has worked with more than 350 agencies, SMBs, and Fortune 500s and an instructor at Concordia Continuing Education. Tarek recently developed a new tool to help marketers simplify their SEO audits.
CCE: What inspired you to create this SEO tool, and what unique challenges did you intend to solve for businesses with it?
Riman: An all-in-one, free, private, and technical SEO extension simply didn’t exist. Often, tools are initially free but soon require payment, which can be a challenge for businesses. My goal was to create a tool that instantly shows businesses what they need to do, the status of their webpage, and where they can improve—all with one click. This tool is designed for everyone, from beginners to seasoned SEO professionals, making it easy to use and providing actionable insights quickly.
CCE: How do you stay current with industry trends, and how did that influence the development of this tool?
Riman: Staying current has become more challenging than ever with the rapid pace of AI advancements. To keep up I follow key influencers, read trusted articles, conduct my own experiments, and stay deeply engaged through my agency work, client projects, and teaching. The tool was shaped by key trends: creating a client-centric, user-friendly experience, incorporating all relevant tags, including AI-related ones. This tool adapts automatically to trends rather than lagging.
CCE: How does this tool reflect your approach to teaching?
Riman: In my teaching, I emphasize building something practical—even if it doesn’t succeed initially, it’s valuable to try. I also encourage students to give more than they take, which is one of my guiding principles. I believe we’re in an era where AI and automation are essential, whether through prompts, processes, or AI-driven tools. This SEO tool is designed to help automate and enhance my work.
