At the end of March, Concordia’s medical and mental health services will begin using an electronic medical record (EMR) system.

This change will affect the Health Services Clinic, Counselling and Psychological Services and Mental Health Entry.

Leading up to and during the transition, patients may experience delays in services. We appreciate your patience during this transition.

Services during the transition

Starting March 21, there may be delays in services at the Health Services Clinic and when booking an intake appointment for student mental health services.

March 31 and April 1: The Health Services Loyola Clinic will be closed. The Sir George Williams Clinic will open at 10 a.m.

Find options for medical care when Health Services is closed.

Tele-counselling services in Concordia's wider network remain available. You may also consult phone and text helplines and listening services in the community.

In case of emergency, find immediate support.

Benefits of electronic medical records

The EMR system will help streamline processes for patients and health care practitioners. As a patient, you’ll benefit from:

  • Easier access to your health information.

  • More accurate and up-to-date records.

  • Better integration with services like pharmacies, labs and insurance providers.

  • New controls over your data security.

  • Updates via email and/or text message.

  • Self-booking for mental health intake appointments.
