The School of Graduate Studies has launched the second edition of its graduate student ambassador program, designed to support prospective and newly admitted graduate students.

This year, the program has expanded from 15 to 21 ambassadors. These graduate students have been hired to assist students from across Canada and the world in making informed choices about their future studies. The ambassadors are available to answer questions through online chat about their experiences as graduate students, campus life and what it’s like to live and study in Montreal.

The ambassadors come from Quebec, Canada, and beyond, including Asia, Europe, Africa and South America. They also speak a wide range of languages, such as English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Korean, Bengali and Portuguese. This international cohort reflects Concordia’s diverse community and is eager to share what makes the university special.

The graduate ambassadors, who are enrolled in master’s and PhD programs across all four faculties at Concordia, participate in both virtual and in-person events, such as Q&A sessions, open houses and graduate information sessions. They are also available to support faculty recruitment efforts.

The program aims to improve the experience of future graduate students through direct, peer-to-peer connections and insights as they navigate their graduate school options.

Graduate ambassadors will also provide invaluable feedback to make the university’s services and events more relevant, timely and targeted to emerging student needs.

This paid opportunity allows graduate student ambassadors to strengthen their leadership and communication skills, broaden their professional network and meet new people.
