Atelier écodesign CVM

Atelier

Mission/mandate/about the organisation

Since 2019, l'Atelier écoesign CVM’s mission is to upcycle all kinds of plastic wastes to turn them into sustainable and useful consumer goods. Located in a designated workshop at Cégep du Vieux Montréal (CVM), it has many specialized machines like heat presses, a shredder, 3D printers, CNC cutters and much more. It provides a safe workspace for teachers, employees and college students that want to take steps towards a sustainable future and aim to reduce eco-anxiety through concrete actions.

Areas of interest that can be explored through the internship

Atelier écodesign CVM is looking for creative and research-oriented individuals for its internship in the fields of industrial design and graphic design. This internship is preferably offered every summer from May to August inclusively. Projects can range from recycling plastic wastes, making biomaterials (like mycelium), to including tooling design and graphism tasks for social media. We offer basic training on the machines and materials available in our workshop and look forward to hosting all kinds of internship projects related to sustainability.
