TRAVEL GRANTS FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
The Travel Grants to Undergraduate Students Program offers financial support to Fine Arts students who have been officially invited by recognized, professionally operated arts organizations to present their original art or academic work outside of Concordia.
About this grant
The Office of Student Relations has a modest fund available to support undergraduate student initiatives through travel grants for students who have been officially invited by a recognized, professionally operated arts organization to present their own original art or academic work outside of Concordia. This may include:
- exhibitions
- screenings
- conferences
- concerts
- performances
- festivals
- residencies
Travel Grants will be available throughout the fiscal year as funds last.
Applicants must apply for the bursary prior to the start date of their travel projects; we are not able to offer funds retroactively.
These funds are only available to students presenting their own artistic work or research and will only be dispensed as a bursary lump sum upon return. As such, recipients must retain all boarding passes and receipts for the cost of travel (airplane, train or bus tickets, etcetera) to present as confirmation trip occurred as stated in the application should they receive a Travel Grant.
Submissions will be accepted on an ongoing basis, while funds last.
Value of the grants
The fund is modest and is not intended to pay for the entire cost of the trip, but rather to help offset costs. We understand this to be a largely symbolic gesture of support in today’s economy, though we sincerely hope it will be impactful for students all the same.
We can offer:
- $250 for travel within Quebec and Ontario
- $500 for travel within North America, Central America, Caribbean Islands
- $750 for travel anywhere beyond the above-mentioned regions
