Festival Suoni Per il Popolo
Mission/mandate/about the organisation
The Suoni Per Il Popolo (Sounds For the People) festival is dedicated to presenting exploratory forms of music, sound and creativity, featuring an eclectic mixture of genres including but not limited to New Music, Musique Actuelle, Free Jazz, Free Improv, Electronic, Folk, Sound Art, Spoken Word, Hip-hop, Avant Rock and all sounds that resist categorization. Featuring artists who hail from down the block to around the world, the festival believes this approach is the best way to provide audiences with a compelling, inspiring and creative overview of the contemporary music scene. With a considered multi-generational curation, we have consistently provided a platform to emerging artists while also featuring elder, unsung trailblazers and rabble rousers. This inspires younger generations and connects them to the history of avant-garde art.
