3MT and MT180 competitions
Do you want to learn how to communicate your thesis compellingly and clearly? Participating in the Concordia Three Minute Thesis and Ma thèse en 180 secondes competitions (3MT & MT180) is a perfect opportunity to receive individual coaching to improve your public speaking skills and communicate your work effectively.
Overview
The 3MT and MT180 competitions are annual Winter events hosted by GradProSkills in partnership with 4th Space. These popular, international competitions challenge graduate students to share their research in just three minutes in an easy-to-understand way, with no jargons, technical terms and using only one PowerPoint slide.
The event is broadcast live on Zoom and streamed on YouTube. Prizes are awarded to the top presenters, and two students are selected to represent Concordia University at the regional and national competitions. The audience can choose their favourite presentation by casting their votes online for the People's Choice Award at the master's and doctoral level.
Eligibility
The 3MT competition is open to all doctoral and research master's students, while the MT180 competition is only open to doctoral students. To participate you must complete the competition training offered by GradProSkills in January and February.
