My inspiration

How can we ensure both privacy and accuracy during age-verification, especially to safeguard children?

Since early 2020, I have been observing and often participating in campaigns around Montreal demanding online safety. I was touched by real-life stories of the many people suffering from this issue, mostly due to lack of proper regulation and technology. These experiences prompted me to direct my doctoral research towards developing an anonymous age-verification system that could ensure users’ privacy and security, especially for vulnerable segments of the population. I believe that technology can facilitate positive transformation in our lives only if it is used ethically. A key motto in my research is prioritizing users’ convenience and well-being through ethical solutions.
