STEAMpunks
June 30 – July 25, 2025
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) activities nurture creative, technical and interpersonal abilities all at once, and that is the central principle of STEAMpunks, an initiative from Concordia University for students aged 13 to 15.
About the STEAMpunks camp
Concordia is partnering with the YMCA for the 2025 edition of STEAMpunks. The in-person day camp will primarily take place at Concordia’s Sir George Williams Campus in downtown Montreal from June 30 to July 25, 2025.
Campers will participate in a range of hands-on workshops, laboratory visits, physical activities and outings — designed and guided by university and college educators to inspire learning in a fun and engaging way.
By providing a small peek at higher education and imbuing participants (aka STEAMpunks) with confidence, knowledge, skills and a new network of friends and mentors, the goal is to encourage success in high school and beyond.
We are especially interested in empowering and motivating students who may face social, economic or systemic barriers that hinder their potential or access to initiatives like ours.
Cancellation policy
The occurrence of the camp is subject to there being sufficient registration to render the running of the camp feasible, at Concordia University’s sole discretion. Concordia reserves the right to cancel the camp if there are not enough participants to successfully run the activities. Should the camp be cancelled, any amounts paid for services not rendered shall be reimbursed.
