SUMMER 2025
Discover Concordia’s diverse selection of summer camps. We offer teens the opportunity to explore science and engineering and gain hands-on experience through design challenges and informative activities.
Concordia Athletics – Multi-activity camp
Ages 10-14
With a focus on fun, Concordia’s multiactivity co-ed camp gives kids the opportunity to try a variety of different sports and activities. Campers will develop skills in leadership, teamwork and sportsmanship while participating in a wide variety of action-packed drills and games.
Science & Engineering camps
In addition to camps hosted by the Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science, Concordia is pleased to continue its partnership with the YMCAs of Québec in offering the Science and Engineering camps program.
GirlSET – All-Girls Summer Engineering and Technology program
Organized by Concordia's Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science, this free two-week program gives young women hands-on engineering experience through design challenges, interactive labs and informative activities.
STEAMpunks
The STEAMpunks program encourages students to use STEAM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Art, Math) concepts to design and develop sustainable products.
Specialized introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI)
This AI-focused program for youth with basic programming knowledge covers cybersecurity and facial recognition activities, and AI applications like ChatGPT. Participants will learn how these technologies are transforming the world while enhancing their programming skills.
Concordia Counsellor-in-training – Art and Science
If your teen is passionate about art and science and eager to build leadership skills, the Art and Science Counsellor-in-Training program is perfect. It includes 150 hours of learning, first-aid training, and support from the Association des camps du Québec to strengthen participants’ facilitation and organizational skills.
YMCA – Concordia Fine Arts camps
Ages 13-17
The YMCA – Concordia Fine Arts Camps combine our Fine Arts expertise with the long camp tradition of YMCAs of Québec to let your child explore their talents and discover new passions. From music to dance to visuals arts to video game design, we have something for every taste! Discover the unique fine arts camps at a glance.
Day camps will be held at Concordia’s Sir George Williams Campus in downtown Montreal.
Specialized introduction to contemporary dance
In collaboration with Concordia’s Department of Contemporary Dance, this program engages campers in weekly themed group dance routines inspired by contemporary dance stars, culminating in a performance that fosters creativity and storytelling.
Specialized introduction to theatre
In this program, campers can explore different facets of theatre. From delving into the art of performing, to developing improvisation skills and learning to play different characters, there is something new to learn every week!
Specialized introduction to music
Every week, campers will explore a different element of musical composition: film music composition, digital music composition and videogame music recording.
Specialized introduction to visual arts
Calling all aspiring artists! This program shines the spotlight on your kid’s creativity and interest in the visual arts with a new theme every week. On the agenda: cyanotype, art appreciation and mural art.
Textile exploration
Learn your way around fabric art, textile, and clothes making! In this program campers will learn how to sew and embroider and discover how to make their own textile dye from natural ingredients. They will also explore the significance of textiles in contemporary art.
Introduction to video game design
Do your kids dream of developing video games? In this program, campers will experience the exciting field of video game design using the application Scratch and learn to bring their own 2D video game to life.
Gamejam Specialization
Prerequisite: Campers must have already completed the basics of video game design.
Campers will be able to expand their knowledge of video game design through rewarding workshops. To develop their collaborative spirit, campers will work on a group project to design a video game in just 48 hours.
Introduction to 3D art
This program will introduce your kids to the fascinating world of 3D art, from modelling to animation to texture, and much more. Coached by the program’s on-site specialists, campers will use specialized software, such as Blender, and learn the building blocks of 3D creation.
Specialized introduction to digital camera art
Does your child love playing with your camera? In this program, your kid will explore various artistic possibilities offered by the digital camera for both photos and videos including video montage and fashion photography.
