About the office

Office of Community Engagement

Based at Concordia’s SHIFT Centre, the Office of Community Engagement (OCE) is dedicated to enhancing Concordia's ability to develop and sustain respectful and impactful relationships between the university and the diverse communities of Montreal.

Key projects

In addition to amplifying the work of our Concordia colleagues and partners, the OCE leads its own dynamic programs and projects to foster collaboration, creativity and partnerships. The OCE also proudly supports a diverse range of initiatives that help bridge Concordia and the community.

How we work

  • We build trust and seed relationships with priority communities in the greater Montreal area.
  • We build bridges and nurture partnerships between Concordia and the community sector.
  • We build capacity and advocate internally to support community-university engagement.
  • We are committed to contributing to the implementation of the recommendations from the Indigenous Directions Action Plan and the President’s Task Force on anti-Black racism
