Chaire-réseau de recherche sur la jeunesse du Québec (CRJ) resource bundle

This kit is a comprehensive hub of multimedia resources dedicated to collaborative research with Indigenous youth. These resources have been created by members of the Chaire-réseau de recherche sur la jeunesse du Québec (CRJ), especially the Indigenous Youth advisory committee. You’ll find tools and insights that showcase the efforts of the CRJ to develop relevant and impactful collaborative research methods tailored to the unique needs and perspectives of Indigenous youth.

The Office of Community Engagement created this guide for researchers, academics, and students who wish to learn how to best collaborate with Indigenous Peoples, organizations and communities. This tool outlines key principles and values of collaboration, encourages a reflection on the motivations for soliciting Indigenous communities and provides guidance on ways to move from reflection to action.

The Decolonial Toolbox : Educational Pathway

The Decolonial Toolbox is the result of a multi-year collaboration between the Office of Community Engagement, Mikana and the Montreal Indigenous Community NETWORK. The resource is a self-directed learning tool to understand historical and contemporary Indigenous realities. The pathway gathers carefully selected resources produced by Indigenous peoples and organizations that are accessible and promote Indigenous expertise.

Indigenous Elder and Community Protocols: Guidelines for acknowledging territory

Developed by the Concordia’s Indigenous Directions Leadership Group, this document assists the process of respectfully and ethically inviting, interacting and collaborating with Elders, Knowledge Keepers and community members. It provides information about protocols and guidelines to be followed by Concordia University faculty, staff and students who wish to engage with Indigenous peoples and communities on campus or in the Tiohtià:ke (Montréal) area and beyond.

Enable Montreal: Inclusive Innovation Guide

This guide was inspired by the key takeaways the Office of Community Engagement learned during the design and delivery of Enable Montreal, a non-competitive design challenge to co-create solutions for a more inclusive and accessible city. The goal of sharing these lessons is to support, inform and inspire other social innovation and community engagement practitioners as they seek to make their activities more inclusive and accessible to all.
