External awards 2025

Each year, the Institute for Co-operative Education honours exceptional students by nominating them for distinguished Quebec and Canadian work-integrated learning awards. We are delighted to showcase the outstanding nominees for 2025.

Our nominees for the 2025 CEWIL Student of the Year Awards

  • Niayesh Sanaat – Industrial Engineering undergraduate student Niayesh has truly gone above and beyond in her co-op placements at CBCCMP - Consulting Mandate Program, and RONA, showcasing tremendous dedication and skill. We're incredibly proud of her hard work. 
  • Guilong Xie – Environmental Engineering graduate student Guilong has made a lasting, positive impact with the Cree Nation of Chisasibi in the James Bay. Guilong’s work optimizing recycling in this Northern region, which exemplifies the power of co-operative education.
