Biography

I am a kinesiologist with work experience and postgraduate training in the areas of cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) and training in individuals with chronic diseases. With my team, I have established a research infrastructure in CPET and pulmonary rehabilitation at the Centre de recherche du CIUSSS-NIM, where I hold a researcher position (based at the Centre Jean-Jacques-Gauthier). I have been a research member of the PERFORM Centre - now part of Concordia's School of Health - since its beginnings and conduct research there as well. I currently serve as a member of the Executive Committee of the Canadian Thoracic Society.

Education

Ph.D. (Arizona State University),

M.Sc. (East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania),

B.Sc. (Université de Montréal).

Research interests

Effects of aerobic exercise interventions on various health parameters, such as exercise capacity and/or tolerance, cognitive function, psychological status, and quality of life in people with different chronic conditions (e.g., COPD, obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, etc.).

Physical activity and sleep patterns in cardiopulmonary diseases.
