Jennifer (JD) Drummond, Manager

JD oversees service delivery to members of the Concordia community impacted by sexual violence, plus program development and the creation and delivery of mandatory education on sexual violence prevention and response as required by Bill 151 (An act to prevent and fight sexual violence in higher education institutions).

JD is a member of the Standing Committee on Sexual Misconduct and Sexual Violence and chairs the Sub-Committee on Training and Education. She chairs the Sexual Assault Response Team in urgent and/or complex cases of sexual violence and coordinates a multi-unit response. JD holds a master’s degree in Social Work from McGill University.

Lindsay Faul, Counsellor


Lindsay provides support, counseling, accompaniment and referral to Concordia students, staff and faculty impacted by sexual violence at any point in their lives. Lindsay’s approach is trauma-informed, survivor-centered, 2SLGBTQ+ friendly, anti-oppressive, and non-judgmental. She holds a masters’ degree in Social Work from McGill University and has over 15 years of experience working in the field. 

Lindsay offers up to 12 sessions of support using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy approaches. Sessions focus on exploring the memory of the traumatic event(s) and its meaning. Learn more about CPT

In addition, Lindsay is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and is able to offer this treatment approach to clients who are deemed appropriate for the standard protocol. Learn more about EMDR

Aleesha Simpson, Counsellor

Aleesha provides support, counseling, accompaniment and referral to Concordia students, staff and faculty impacted by sexual violence at any point in their lives. Aleesha’s approach is trauma-informed, survivor-centered, anti-oppressive, and LGBQT+ friendly. She holds a Masters’ degree in Social Work from McGill University and has over three years of experience working in the field.

Aleesha offers up to 12 sessions of support using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy approaches. Sessions focus on exploring the impact the traumatic event has had on the client’s emotional and physical states. This work could include developing adaptive, healthy coping skills, exploring traumatic memories, and psychoeducation. The overall goal of the sessions is to help clients cope with the mental, emotional, and physical impacts of sexual violence.

Mark Underwood

Mark Underwood, Facilitator

Mark develops, delivers and evaluates SARC’s in–person and online education and training on sexual violence prevention and response. Mark is a member of the Training and Education Sub-Committee and assists with the roll-out and logistics of mandatory training as required by Bill 151. Mark holds a Master’s Degree in Human Systems Intervention from Concordia’s Department of Applied Human Sciences and has years of experience facilitating a range of topics.

Jenna Rose,

Project Coordinator

Jenna develops and coordinates special projects and events related to SARC, the Standing Committee on Sexual Violence, and Bill 151. Jenna is a member of the Standing Committee on Sexual Violence, and she supports the administration of the mandatory training and assists with the reporting as required by Bill 151. Jenna holds a bachelor’s degree in Women’s Studies and Community, Public Affairs, and Policy Studies from Concordia University. She has 10 years of experience coordinating a varied range of projects and events at Concordia.

Mandy McBain,
Service Assistant

Mandy is a first contact source of information for internal clients regarding University regulations and guidelines for services and responsibilities. She is responsible for maintaining the smooth running of the day-to-day operations of the office. Mandy completed her studies at Laurentian University with a Bachelors in Sociology – minor in Communications. Afterwards she studied at the University of Amsterdam for a Masters in Sociology with a focus on gender and sexuality. Bringing over 10 years experience in the health care/administration field to Concordia, Mandy is one of SARC’s newest team members.
