Dr. Sarah Ghabrial's new chapter, "'Muslims have no borders, only horizons': A genealogy of border criminality in Algeria and France, 1844 to Present" has just been published in an edited collection entitled, Decolonizing the Criminal Question: Colonial Legacies, Contemporary Problems (Oxford University Press, 2023).
Sarah's chapter deals with the coloniality of mobility controls in Algeria-France from the nineteenth century to the present. And for those of you who may want to read it, you can read the PDF here.
