Biography

Dr. Hafeez received her Ph.D. degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Ottawa, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and M.E.Sc. degree in Structural Engineering from Western University, London, Ontario, in Canada. Her Bachelors of Engineering (B-Eng) is from NED University, Karachi, Pakistan. Following her education, she worked in the industry to design wood buildings, roads and highways, and ports and harbours.

Research Areas

Dr. Hafeez's research focuses on Timber Buildings including Structural Health Monitoring (SHM), Lateral Load Resisting Systems, Sustainable Design, Indigenous Houses, Retrofitting Techniques for Timber Heritage Buildings, Finite Element Modelling, Floor Vibration, Composite Systems, Artificial Neural Networks and Optimization Algorithms in Structures and Materials.
