Biography

Janice Tibbetts is an experienced journalist who spent more than two decades in the daily news business, working at Postmedia News, The Canadian Press, the Halifax Chronicle-Herald and the Halifax Daily News. She covered at least one dozen beats, including Parliament Hill, the Supreme Court of Canada and the Alberta and Nova Scotia legislatures. During her career, she has had the privilege of covering some of the biggest issues of their time, including the legalization of same-sex marriage, the aftermath of the 911 terrorist attacks, the lead up to the U.S. war in Iraq, the tainted-blood inquiry and Henry Morgentaler's fight to open an abortion clinic. She also has covered several Canadian election campaigns and too many monumental court cases to count.
