Biography

Pierre Deslauriers is a geographer specializing in metropolitan land use dynamics and urban ecology. He also maintains a strong interest in various aspects of leisure and tourism activities.  His main geographical areas of interest are North America and Western Europe. Since the 1980s he has worked as consultant both for government and NGOs. He has made recent significant contributions to editing and production of a number of academic publications in human geography and leisure studies. At Concordia, Dr Deslauriers is also affiliated to the Dept of Applied Human Sciences. He was an Adjunct-professor of Geography and Canadian Studies at the University of Vermont between 1996-2012, and also regularly lectured at the Université de Montréal between 2002 and 2015.
