Biography
Pierre-Marc Ouellette is a dance artist: dancer and choreographer. He has danced for about ten years with Le Carré des Lombes (dir. Danièle Desnoyers), among others, and has presented his choreographies at Tangente, Agora de la danse, Galerie Vox, and Galerie B-312 in Montreal.
His artistic collaboration with visual artist Manon De Pauw is at the core of his approach, leading him to explore the boundaries and limits of dance. He holds a bachelor's degree in art history, a master's degree in arts from Concordia University's individualized program, and is currently a doctoral candidate at the Université du Québec à Montréal in the Doctorate in Arts Studies and Practices program. His doctoral project, which explores the notion of creative fog, is funded by the prestigious Fonds de recherche du Québec - Société et culture.
He has been teaching for about ten years (EDCM, UQAM) and has been part of the dance department at Concordia University for the past three years.
