Mission/mandate/about the organisation

N10.AS is a community-based, non-profit, volunteer-run internet radio station broadcasting from Montreal, Quebec. We are committed to providing a respectful and safe space that involves a diverse community of people, both from Montreal and worldwide. It is our goal to provide an online radio platform where one will be able to connect and contribute to the community at large—either as a volunteer who helps maintain the station or as a radio host contributing shows to our programming.

Context of the internship

N10.AS welcomes those who are acutely interested in the activities and tasks involved in running and maintaining an online radio station. This could be anything from learning about and actively participating in what is required on the daily to run and maintain a radio station to brainstorming and bringing to fruition fundraising and awareness campaigns for the station. We also need individuals who are passionate about the ins and outs of community-based initiatives as it pertains providing a community space to gather and learn from one another. We also need those who are passionate about programming and finding a diverse set of characters and show ideas to better represent the community at large. But mostly, even without particular skillsets, we are looking for open-minded, creative individuals who feel motivated and excited to contribute to a radio station that has been growing steadily over the last 6 years!
