Repercussion Theatre
Mission/mandate/about the organisation
Repercussion Theatre’s mission is to deliver professional, classically based, visually dynamic theatre that is accessible to all, regardless of income, culture, language, age or education.
Context of the internship
Repercussion internships are quite varied, with their focus and scope often developed collaboratively with interns, in light of their subject-focus and disciplines - ranging from projects involving theatre-making (including diverse design, production, and dramaturgical work), to arts archiving, to communications and marketing studies/initiatives, to digital (design & architecture) work, to nonprofit/arts philanthropy and development. Internships often revolve around Repercussion’s summer Shakespeare-in-the-Park tour (the actual production touring in July/August, with groundwork being done in late winter/spring).
Potential interns may be from the following fields: arts management/administration; (art) education; cinema; communications; design; history; literature; studio arts; and, of course, theatre.
