Mature entry and extended credit (Engineering)
Please note that ECP and MEP students typically require an extra year in their program to complete any deficiencies in their first year of study, prior to following the regular program.
See more information at: http://www.concordia.ca/academics/degrees/program-length.html.
The suggested first year schedule for an ECP/MEP student could be:
First Semester:
- CHEM 205 (General Chemistry I)
- MATH 203 (Differential and Integral Calculus I)
- PHYS 204 (Mechanics)
- Social Science, Natural Science Elective or Humanities Elective*
- English as Second Language (ESL) (if required)
Second Semester:
- MATH 204 (Vectors and Matrices)
- MATH 205 (Differential and Integral Calculus II) [requires C- or better in MATH 203]
- PHYS 205 (Electricity and Magnetism) [requires C- or better in PHYS 204]
- Social Science, Natural Science Elective or Humanities Elective*
- English as Second Language (ESL) (if required)
* ECP and MEP students must also complete 6 credits of social science and humanities electives. These Social Science or Humanities electives must be chosen from the lists in the Undergraduate calendar. Since these courses are not scheduled by the Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, you may have course conflicts.
If you have already been awarded an exemption for a course you do not need to repeat it. Should you need any assistance in selecting courses, please do not hesitate to contact your academic advisor for further assistance.
After you have completed the prerequisites for your first year (MATH, PHYS, and CHEM courses), please follow the course sequence for your program.
