Biography
A seasoned business executive, Warren brings a broad base of Information Technology (IT) and business experience to the management of the IT function. Having retired from CGI in 2012, Warren was, until 2016 retained under contract for special assignments relative to outsourcing and client IT advisory services. Currently Warren is a member of the Board of Directors of five publicially traded companies: Supremex, Colabor, Titan Logix, Circa Enterprises and Vicon Technologies. In addition, since 2009 Warren teaches IT subjects part time in the Undergraduate, MBA and EMBA departments of the John Molson School of Business.
Warren’s background has been in large international organizations. As a Senior Vice President of Global Business Engineering at CGI, Warren was responsible for large outsourcing engagements; “engineering” value maximizing solutions for clients and commercially viable engagements for CGI. His role also included business development support as well as internal training and new member integration.
Prior to CGI, Warren held senior IT leadership/CIO positions in a number of large global organizations including Alcan (now Rio Tinto), Dominion Textile, Johnson & Johnson and Lafarge. In each of these organizations, often concurrent with his role as CIO, Warren has held senior leadership positions in Procurement, Strategic Planning and Finance.
Warren holds an MBA, with a major focus on Finance from Concordia University in Montreal, where he also completed his undergraduate studies in Accountancy. Additionally, he holds a professional accounting degree (CPA). Over the course of his career, Warren has attended numerous executive management training programs including IT Leadership (MIT & Ivey), World Class Manufacturing (Duke) and Strategic Planning (Vanderbilt). In addition to being a part time faculty member of the John Molson School of Business, Warren sits on the school Advisory Board.
