Ask a question
Transfer credits
When you have completed your exchange term, your host institution will issue an official transcript with your course information and grades. They will send this official transcript directly to Concordia International. Once you have submitted your student exchange report (information about which will be provided before you go abroad), we will send your transcript to your faculty to do a final assessment and process the transfer credits.
Official transcripts must come from the host institution directly. We cannot accept any transcript copies from students. However, we encourage all students to request their own copy of their host institution's transcript, to keep their personal records. If you plan to apply to graduate school, it may be useful to have a few sealed copies that you can submit with your applications.
The final number of Concordia credits you receive is determined by your faculty. You will receive a notification on your student account when your credits are transferred to your student record. It is your responsibility to verify on your Student Hub that the number of credits transferred is correct. If there is an issue with your transfer credits, please reach out to your faculty program coordinator.
If your faculty determines that you will get less than 15 Concordia credits for your exchange courses, Concordia International will request a tuition refund on your behalf. This will be done automatically. You do not need to submit a request.
