Eligibility requirements
The minimum eligibility requirements to participate in a field school or partner summer school are as follows:
- Be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, with a minimum 2.7 cumulative GPA (CGPA) and have completed at least 24 credits toward your current degree program by the time you leave for the program.
- Be enrolled in a master's degree program, with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (CGPA) and have completed at least 9 credits toward your current degree program by the departure date.
- Be enrolled in PhD degree program, have a 3.7 cumulative GPA (CGPA) and have completed at least 9 credits toward your current degree program by the departure date.
Each field school and partner summer school may have additional eligibility requirements that will be listed on their specific web page, including but not limited to:
- Higher CGPA requirements
- Degree-program restrictions (e.g., open only to undergraduate students, or open only to Fine Arts students, etc.)
- First-time applicants: Some field schools will give priority to students who have not previously participated in that particular field school.
- Pre-approval for Program Requirements: Some students may require pre-approval for field schools or partner summer schools abroad to be counted towards their program in order to register. Please check with your program academic advisor to clarify if you will need pre-approval.
